After a crazy busy week, I get to go into the studio and paint this afternoon. A joyous way to enter the weekend. It’s been such a roller coaster this week, my emotions crazy up and down as different things happen. But when I get to create, just create, it is always a place of deep, satisfying joy. It doesn’t even matter if I am happy with what I create, just DOING it.

Artists and writers are so often pictured as morose neurotics. But I think most of us are crazy happy when we are doing what we love.
