I Don’t Speak Chinese.

The picture (above) just sold to one of my best patrons, a gentleman in the TV business in China. It’s his sixth piece of my work in the last two years, part of a series of experiments I did with pencil and colored pencils. I wasn’t even thinking of selling them, but this is the second one of the four to find a home.

It’s odd to me, how this works. I am not famous, but I sell paintings regularly to people I don’t know. Fifty years ago. Even 20 years ago, this would have never happened. And now it’s a regular thing.

Thanks to all of you who peer in, who found me at galleries, who tell others about me. Because in the end it is not the internet that connects me to all of you, it’s you yourself.

Feeling blessed,

Tom
