Starting
It is a messy thing, starting,
a few rash brush strokes,
the end nowhere in sight, not even
apparent, your only certainty
that what you envisioned
will become something entirely different,
trusting the process to lead you.
About this poem.
I am a big believer in planning, even though I am fully aware that plans constantly change and morph into something new, different, and at times unrecognizable from our starting point.
The details are not important. What is important is the starting, and trusting the process, whether it is in personal growth, corporate success, or art. They are all more similar than we give them credit for. It’s the starting and persistence that gets us “there”, where ever “there” is.
Be well. Travel wisely,
Tom
